Scholarship Opportunities
ESA Scholarship Thirty-three scholarships are available (of which seniors can apply for three) and can be found at the following website: www.esaintl.com/esaf/. Click on scholarship applications; click on lists of scholarships by state (Ohio); click on scholarship applications or obtain one from the guidance department.
The Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools is offering various scholarships ranging between $2000 to $10,000. Students may apply for up to three scholarships. Schools participating are: The Academy of Court Reporting, Cleveland Institute of Dental and Medical Assistants, Brown-Mackie College, various branches of ITT Technology, Virginia Marti College of Art and Design and National Institute of Technology • Students must have at least a C average • Students do not have to demonstrate financial need • Get copies of the application in the guidance center
Community Association of Pakistani Americans Two scholarships of $500 each are available • Short application • Letter of recommendation • Essay “What impact has the geographic location of Pakistan made on the current situation of Pakistan” • Go to website: www.capaohio.org or pick up applications in the guidance office center • Deadline is May 2, 2011
JOHN H. MCCONNELL SCHOLARSHIP
The Blue Jackets Hockey Team have established a scholarship to honor it’s founder. The intent is to reward seniors who
demonstrate hard work, perseverance, leadership and community service up to $10,000 in scholarships.

• Short answer and essay questions

COLUMBUS ITALIAN CLUB
• Must be of Italian heritage and be able to list genealogy
• Transcript
• Essay on “What it means to be Italian-American” – no more than 2,500 words
• Deadline March 31, 2011.
• Applications can be found in the guidance center
BIO-OHIO ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - A one-time scholarship is offering for one-time $1300 scholarships.
• Must want to pursue bioscience related studies at an Ohio School. Students need:
• Transcript
• Statement of activities
• Two letters of recommendation
• Essay of 500 words on your contribution of this field
• Deadline is April 2011
