Prerequisite Override Guidelines
Grandview Heights teachers make specific recommendations about which courses are most appropriate for their students using standardized achievement test data, current and previous course grade history, and specific knowledge of their students. In addition to these sources of information, teachers also follow the prerequisite guidelines printed in the course catalog. If a student and his/her parents wish to take a course that the student’s teacher has not recommended, a course prerequisite parental override form needs to be submitted to the guidance department and a conference will then be scheduled to discuss the change. Click here for the Prerequisite Override Form.
